Palate Cleanser Panty with our NEW Stretch Laces!

A quick post on my latest project - a few palate cleanser panties! As we’re gearing up to release the Labellum Bra Pattern in GG-KK size set, I whipped up a few panties in our new stretch laces for a quick and satisfying sew-session. Panties are such a great in-between project - quick to sew, cute fabrics and a significantly better fit than what’s in most stores! Bonus for those who like high end finishes and/or lots of sewing experience, the ability to create an enclosed gusset or incorporated gusset.

These are based on the original Lunaria panty but revised for different styling and a new launch (Haru Knicker Pattern, hint, hint).

Up first is our lace panty in Nautical Daub - drafted specifically to fit our 6” stretch galloon lace. Gusset is is one large piece for an unbelievably a quick sew (almost entirely on the serger/overlocker).

Next is our lace back panty in Black gallon lace. This pattern is only 2 pattern pieces! The one piece incorporated gusset + foldover elastic means this can easily be converted to a period panty.

This quickly lead to a small collection as I pulled out laces and fabrics from different seasons. Didn’t really feel like changing the thread and foldover elastic so there’s a lot of black.

Once I get the sloper squared away, its time to draft panties with different gusset and rise variations to accommodate different body types! We think this will be a great combo with our mix and match bra patterns. What do you think!?
