The Lamina Bra Pattern is a non-stretch/low-stretch underwired bra with options! This darted bra features easy, 1 piece cup styling with options for different overlays and internal slings for additional support or nursing.  Great for adventurous beginners and  intermediate sewers alike.  To celebrate the launch of the Lamina pattern, we are offering subscribers 10% off the pattern using code LLLPD10. With a single piece bra cup, there’s almost no chance of putting things together backwards or upside down. That means more time to play with other design elements like fabric. Maybe some lace. Or satin. Even a bit of silk.

See how high that center vertical dart goes? It should end about an inch ABOVE the nipple. This ensures a nice rounded bust point. If you’re altering the BCD, please don’t shorten too much!

One last note. The blue/black Lamina with the nursing clasp has no underwire. That bra was sewn with full intention for underwires (channeling already in place, one end already closed, upper elastic done) but on a whim, I decided to try it without the wire. I was pretty impressed with the support as is! So I left it out. That said, the Lamina was DESIGNED for underwires and if you decide to use it WITHOUT wires, know that that WILL affect shaping and support.
